It seems that the pressure plate is the cause of the sound. I put some wd-40 inside the clutch, trying to get it on the bearing. The sound went away, and the vibrations last much less, a couple of seconds only. I bought this camera http://goo.gl/dG1un" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I...

Yesterday I noticed a weird sound coming from the clutch. I opened the hood and found that the clutch fork was oscillating, proportional to engine speed. This oscillation, along with the sound (a hising sound together with clunching) lasts for 30 seconds then I hear a louder clank and everything ret...

Yes, but this bonus put two many cars in scrap yards. In France, we have already found in scrap some 309 with less than 100 mkm... Here the law says that the cars must be destroyed when scrapped. The government gives you 900euros for one. And a person buying a new car can use up to 3 vouchers. Usua...

Here in Romania there are very few 309s. I never saw an identical one as mine (309GT mk1), and never a GTI. I think I saw max 10 309s ever in real life. And it is almost impossible to find them at scrap yards. There is one who imports used parts from France, and they have many second hand parts for ...

thefunkyboy a écrit :It is easy to replace but when your engine vibrates, it is generally due to the one in the bottom, near the right "gimbal"
So should I leave it alone then?

My engine is vibrating at idle, not much, but I saw that engine mounts are cheap and I would like to replace one of them myself. I am talking about the one on the left side of the engine, the one at the top. Is it hard to replace? Could I do it myself? I think that this engine has 3 of them right (2...
