I didn't know the 309 came with this. Is it hard to install?

It's part of the central locking, so you need the wiring loom, the actuators and all the fixings.

ok, so from what I understand, it doesn't unlock the trunk, it releases it. It pulls the pin right? And the actual lock (the one with the key) remains unchanged, closed.

Re: Restoring the power of a 1986 110bhp XU92C engine
It's part of the central locking system so it works as is. There are two central locking systems on the 309 (depending on the car):
1. lock/unlock doors + tailgate with the driver's key (driver's door)
2. lock/unlock doors + tailgate with a remote control (and driver's door)
The lock is exactly the same, have a look at the system:
It should not be confused with tailgate/boot opening systems you can find on recent cars.

Re: Restoring the power of a 1986 110bhp XU92C engine
I have found these 15" rims from a 405. They are original (made in france). They cost 220 euro. He says they are brought from the UK and have never been used in RO (always a plus on our roads )
What do you guys think? Are they worth it?

Re: Restoring the power of a 1986 110bhp XU92C engine
someone told me that it doesn't fit on a 309 without adding a part ("une cale") to compensate the outset

are you sure about that? can someone confirm?thefunkyboy a écrit :someone told me that it doesn't fit on a 309 without adding a part ("une cale") to compensate the outset
because I found on this site that the offset for the 309 is exactly like the one on the 405 (18mm)
