Actually mine came from France, I think, but you are right, a lot come from Germany. It's because a lot of our nationals live in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and of course in France But in my life I only drove one GTI phase 1 and saw three with my eyes. One was in front of me stopping at a traffic light and as i wanted to take a picture the guy simply crashed it into the car in front of him!!! Idiot!!! He was going like 30km/h

Then, youre able to see a lot of different models, that's cool. Even though I assume you don't see 309s quite often.
