Hello,

my name is Thomas and I come from Germany. I live near Stuttgart in southern Germany, in Kornwestheim. Please excuse my bad English but my school has been a while ago  .
I'm working as a trainer for train drivers at the Deutsche Bahn AG.
Some of you know me from the International Meeting in La Bresse, 2010.

To my car:
*************
I drive a Peugeot 309 Graffic 5-door with 75 hp and the 1.4 TU3M engine, built 1992.It currently has just under 172.000 kilometers down and is almost in original condition.

I have changed (Notwithstanding the Graffic equipment):

-Speedometer from 309 GTI
-Dashboard of 309 SX
-Glove compartment lighting retrofitted
-Glass roof
-Original 309-carpet in the trunk

I drive it only in summer (April to October) and in fine weather :) .

Hello,

Thank you. I like the Peugeot 309 very much, and so do I take care of it. There are in Germany, unfortunately, not many of them. And it was my first car with the license.
I will certainly try to the International 309 meetings to come, which will certainly be interesting. I have only until October / November to know the exact date because at work then I must apply for leave.
If I leave, I will get in any case with my 309 to be there from Germany!

greetings Thomas

We're trying to figure out a date before the end of summer holidays, so everyone will be able to arrange their timetable.

Thank you very much Thomas!! Because I have tried to get in touch with German people but it seems to be very dfficult... Thank you again and I really hope there will be lots of German in the meeting because the meeting is really not far from Germany and I hope the most populated European country will be present. Cheers again!

I've got a very stupid question that's in my mind since some days. I remember you told me on another topic your car is probably the only 309 in your region (or that at least you think so because you don't see any other 309s) so do some people come and talk to you about it?

Hello Aurélien,

that´s not a stupid question (in Germany we say: "It gives no stupid questions, it just gives stupid answers :hehe: ).
That´s right, we talked about this some time ago, I think it was at the meeting.
Today I know that I don´t have the only 309 here, in Ludwigsburg (neighbour town) there is a second one: 309 Rallye in white. But, 309 Rallye is not original if you think about this now, the owner made this by himself with the stripes from 205 Rallye and parts of 309 GTI. But this is the only 309 which I saw here in the last year...

Some people talk to me about my car, but not much. The 309 looks too cheap (or just too modern?) here, I think. But in summer you can see much Youngtimers in my region, so they are nothing special in the streets.

Regards,

Thomas :hello:

We say the same in French! :hehe:
About your 309, I understand and I assume people are not interested in that kind of cars, theyr prefer good new cars or sports car or rare classic ones... But the day will come!
