I know him. He´s a great parts-dealer, I have bought many parts from him.
I like the Mk 1, too. But there are not many on the road today :pleur4: . I would collect 309´s, too. But I dont´t have the space (and money) for it....

Well, actually the 309 is a bit tricky. It doesn't cost lots of money at first (the car itself is generally not expensive at all), but then you change lots of parts and the bill is growing faster than you imagined.
In France, the MK1 (being GTI or not) is not so rare and you can easily find a very nice one if you search carefully. On French adverts, I found a MK1 309 XS with only 25,000 kms on the clock ( 8| ), the car is in pristine condition but the seller is asking for €5000!!! Oh my god, that's 10 times what I paid for my GTI...

600€ is a good price for a rare car like yours, even if theres a lot of money to insert for rebuilding or keeping alive.

I had to pay a lot more for the grey one, and theres a lot to repair and get fixed. Hope after this I have a car that gives a lot back for my efforts.

Hello 309-lovers,

after a hard long time without driving a 309, I´m back on the road with a GTi. :hello:

I sold my blue GTi16 in april 2010 ( still don´t know why I did that ) and got me an Audi A8. It´s a pretty nice car ( full of stuff nobody really needs ;) ) but it couldn´t replace the 309s, specially the GTi16.

I reactivated the grey 8V GTi two weeks ago, with a lot of money and new parts, and it runs like hell for about 800Km.

For weeks ago I found a "new" GTi16, after a long and hard search, and I´m sooo happy I found a good conditioned one in this days :amen:

Gutmann alloys! Don´t know which company produced them for gutmann ...

But I like them really, they fit pretty nice on the 309, I think.

Yes, feels really good to be back on the road in a 309. I missed it a lot. The Audi A8 is a very nice car, nothing to complain about, but for me theres nothing to compare with the 309s handling and sportivity.

The GTi16 has no rust on the body, not even under the right rear seat or wheel wells or any other typical area where you find rust on a 309. Leather needs some care products to get it a bit softer and the brakes have to be done. But the car is in very, very good condition. Needs some lowering springs on the front.

It´s just like my miami was. I´looking vorward to spring 2012

So it seems you bought it in Switzerland, and I guess it's not far from where you live (RO is Rosenheim, right?). On May, we're having a meeting in the north of France, if you feel like driving, come and join us for a long weekend with plenty of 309s!!

Anyway, I hope I'll see your cars one day. And don't forget to look for a MK1 too!! The first love never goes away...

Hm, the place where I got the GTi16 is about 430KMs away from my hometown 8| .Where in the north of France you are planing the meeting? Maybe it is not too far to go there.

I´m on the way to get a MK1 309, not a GTi, but its a nice GRi, ( 1,6l, 104 bhp ) and the owner is a very friendly man whos willing to sell on a 309 lover, just like I am :super:

No, the few I had they where gone after my computers breakdown, with all the other thousands of 309 pics.
Its a car like this:

http://www.autoscout24.de/Details.aspx?id=cam1xj1nszaf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I wanted to buy the car last year but the owner still needed the car a longer time he thought, so we are in contact again.
Would be very nice I think, my first non GTi an the 14th peugeot.
