Thanks friends, These are "AEZ" rims, got them ( with a lot of other parts ) for my 405. Put some new summerpneus on it and hope tihs combi will force the driving experience

I can´t do anything against it. Since I got my first 309 GTi ( 87 GTi non catalyst 140bhp ) in summer 2000 I´m totally "in love" with these cars.
Tryed to get away from these old cars in the beginnig of 2010, selling my miami GTi16 and getting an Audi A8 3,7 quattro.

Nowadays I own 3 309s again ( the grey GTi16 is the 13th peugeot ) and I accepted that I will never get apart from driving and loving the peugeot 309/ 205. These cars are a part of me and a big part of my live.

Maybe this sounds a little bit gay or dumb or something for an 34 year old man, but hey ....

Its sounds right.
It doesnt matter how old person is,i also love peugeots,especially 309,205 and 406,hell,i love them all.

Know what you meen,when you start fixing these 309s you cant ever separate from this,but i find it a healthy hobby,
better this than sit all day in some bar drinking beer or something
For example,my peugeot 309 diesel had been driving us since 1990,in school and everywhere,since i was a kid,couldnt separate from it never,it has a soul

Hi there,

so, after trying to get it back on the road again last week without success, I hopefully try again tomorrow. When I get the ordered parts in time I´ll maybe get the documents tomorrow which I need to get the GTi16 back on the road.

Did some some bodywork yesterday, I removed those taped stripes on the ( red and black, I think of getting some new ones, maybe like the red ones on Aurelien´s GTi ) and did some refreshing on the side trims and frontbumper.

Not the best camera, but I think the result is not too bad.







When its on the road I can start to get the paint and the interieur refreshed.

Don't the wheels touch the rear wings? The car looks very nice, and the rims do fit the car just as they should.

Thanks a lot, guys :-) Of course I´m trying to get it quick done now, took much more time than I thougt it would.
I always wanted to keep my cars as original as possible, but I love the rims and they fit the car like they where made for it.


The wheels would touch the wings in the back, I tryed with the help of two friends ( 140 Kilo and 110 ) in the trunk
So we decided to bend the edgeplate and not to get the whole wheel arch wider. There is enough space for the Wheel now to do it´s way into the wheel arch without damaging anything.

So, finally found a GTi-forntbumper in pretty good condition. For years stored pretty close to me in a little basement.



The next time I will try to get it clean and refreshed as possible. Before wintertime the "new one" should be fixed on the GTi. and after colouring the radiator grill the GTi no longer looks like wreck.
