I really wonder how the 1.6 engine performs in the 309 chassis. Please tell us how it feels!!!

its an original 1.6 gti from germany!

you must see at CLAROM
it is the xu5j engine with no catalyser.
it drives a little bit slower then the 1.9 gti, but it is a GTI and the performance are the same

Well, at first I thought your car had the same engine as the British 309 SRI (1.6 but 115 hp) but this engine was available later on so I guess Peugeot just used the same engine as the first 205 GTI. I've heard that in Germany as well as in some other countries they sold 309 GTI 1.6 but it's the first one I see. Again, very nice example, please take care of this baby!
