this is my beloved red lion. its my first car. i get him 3 days after my driving licence in 1999-09-03. when my grandmom buy him for me (5000 DM ~ 2500 EURO) i wasn't really happy about this angularly car. but with the time i start to fell in love with this red powerpacket. it needs nearly 5 years and a new transmission to find out his best sides and how to drive out the motor. now i can hold the speedlimit only by listen to the sound. 
. and have no problems to leave this silly golfs behind. ^^
but i have some problems with the topspeed. i'm afraid to hunt him over 160-170 km/h
when i get him in sept.'99 the first owner before me ( im the second!)had driven 125k km. he was an older man from the german border patrol. he drove only long distances and very carefully. so the motor wasn't really bitingly.
now (21-06-2010) it shows 274k km. with the first motor. it was an import from denmark.
