This carburator is very bad. I had to change it by a new one last time :S

Re: 5w40 or 10w40 oil?
Yes, it comes form France. It is a little bit expensive but worthwhile.
The price is about 350€ without delivery.
The best solution would be to order collectively with other people (french and european)

quite expensive...It doesn't run that bad to justify the expense, plus the gaskets are new, got them for 20 eurothefunkyboy a écrit :Yes, it comes form France. It is a little bit expensive but worthwhile.

Re: 5w40 or 10w40 oil? Benzine excess consumption?
I used to have a bad problem with my carburetor, but i got it repaired for 35eur here in Serbia. It used to consume up tp 18l/100km in the city. Indeed I drive a little faster, but it is a 1.3! Now the consumption is around 7l/100km, but i opted for LPG and reduced my costs a lot! My mechanic did a great job and the car really uses very little gas now, like 7l/100km LPG.
Here you can find some great shape second hand carburetors for less than 40eur. My friend bought one of a car that came form Switzerland. He is completely satisfied.

Re: 5w40 or 10w40 oil? Benzine excess consumption?
Well you have your vaporizer, it requires coolant to run through it, You have the tank, I fitted mine in the boot and you have a copper pipe from the boot to the vaporizer running underneath the car. On my Simca I fitted a electronic vaporizer because my ignition is electrical. You have three valves. One is the main gas valve and one is the main LPG valve. There is a selector in the cabin and once you turn the key to the running position it opens the one that is selected, either LPG or gasoline. Then for the LPG there is a second valve on the vaporizer which opens with every impulse the ignition coil sends out.
From the vaporizer there is a hose running to the carburetor and all you do is put a hole in the carburetor body to allow for a little fitting to be inserted. The carburetor is only needed to regulate the fuel/air mixture, all other settings are done on the vaporizer itself.
I will go outside and take some pics for you to see.
