Do you see lots of 309s in your country?

Hello everyone!
Juste wanted to know if you see lots of 309s in your countries.
In France, there are quite a lot even if most of the time they are in quite bad shape. The 309 is (too often) considered as a utility car so every 309 I see is kind of driven without much respect and they show lots of marks which tell us the owner doesn't care too much...

Here in my place there are not really much 309s to see. Since I had my first 309 ( GTi jetronic ) I`ve seen only about 10-15 GTis ( never a GTi16 ) and some SX ( maybe 3 ) and there are some ( most of the time driven by old people ) 309s like Diesels or and 5-door GRs and "small engine"-models.

Sometimes I "meet" a MK2 XS, silver and good condition, really like that car and I always say hi with the spots.

Last year I saw, only for moments a MK1 in red, 5-door GR, condition like right out of the store and the driver could have been my grand-grand-.....-father. I was happy about to see theres somebody in the space who loves hes 309 like I do.

At least there are not very much left of them and I always smile when I see one of them. :hello:

Hello,

in my region (Stuttgart) you can see no 309´s. Some time I think that my one is the only one here now. The last one I saw in spring, I think. But it was in bad condition.
In my home-region (East Germany, Saxony), where I lived until to 2003 are more 309´s on the road. There you can see some cars every day. In bad and good condition, the most of them with the "small" engine (1.1 and 1.4) in "Graffic", "Vital" or "GR" line. But I have never seen a GTI there or here in Stuttgart.

Well, in France you see lots of 309s, but it really depends on where you go, obviously. If you go to big cities, there are some but there even more in the countryside. Most 309s I see are quite in bad condition and are owned by people who don't care and only need a car to go from A to B, whatever its condition.

In my city ("Toulouse"), in France, there are a lot of 309 GTi and GTi 16. But, when you are walking in the street, it is more common to see classical ones as GR mk2 ;)

Croatia: not many peugeots 309,few on the road, most of them driven by old people.
There are a few GTI restored, but thats all.
Overall, just a couple of 309 restored, others mostly at junkyards or slowly dying in forgotten places.

Here in Romania there are very few 309s. I never saw an identical one as mine (309GT mk1), and never a GTI.

I think I saw max 10 309s ever in real life.

And it is almost impossible to find them at scrap yards. There is one who imports used parts from France, and they have many second hand parts for the 309 (the owner has a 405 Mi16). But I think it is the only one in Bucharest, and possibly the whole country.

Our association is here to help all 309 owners. As I helped you with the carburator, we can help again ;)

That law most county has, when you give your old car away and get a bonus from country, is destroying old cars cuz everybody drives new ones.
We still dont have that law so 309 can be found in scrap yards.

Yes, but this bonus put two many cars in scrap yards. In France, we have already found in scrap some 309 with less than 100 mkm...

Here the law says that the cars must be destroyed when scrapped. The government gives you 900euros for one. And a person buying a new car can use up to 3 vouchers. Usually vouchers can be found online or at car dealers for less than 400euro.

In France, car dealers (new cars only) gave some money if you give your old car in return (for destruction). Then the car goes to scrapyard and the new owner has to depollute the car and reuse parts. (for second hand market)
