Re: does the peugeot 309GT have a PCV valve?
snow? yes, a lot of it in Romania last weekroche88 a écrit :il y a beaucoup de neige chez toi
And PCV is a new word for me to^^, also I didn't find an accurate translation to romanian for this word lol
What do you mean passive?
The hose from the air filter to the hose from the intake manifold are directly connected through this thing. I see this as a vacuum leak. I am thinking of plugging the hose from the manifold completely, and just let the gasses escape in the atmosphere, what do you think?
Either way tomorrow I will buy a new valve.

Re: does the peugeot 309GT have a PCV valve?
A valve means to me something active, with at least a small engine on it, some electronic system. here, it is just some hoses between the various systems.
To answer you, you will release oil vapor in the atmosphere, it may:
- dirty the engine
- pollute

What about the engine itself, wouldn't it run more smoothly?thefunkyboy a écrit :A valve means to me something active, with at least a small engine on it, some electronic system. here, it is just some hoses between the various systems.

I guess it won't change so many things.
