Last year I put 75w90, Total full-syntethic GL4 / GL5.

Should I change it again??

I can't find 70w80, but if this is the one I need I will search more for it.

The 75w90 from last year was doing fine even when really cold?
If yes you can keep using this grade, the gearbox is not a clock and in fact the BE1 was first fitted with engine oil.

It was OK, not that bad, it was kinda hard to get into first when cold, but it didn't bother me.

Normally, it's 10w40 in the gearbox, same oil as the engine.
But, for my GT, I put 75w80 for the gearbox with no problem.

I also knew that this gearbox uses 10W40, that is why I put 75W90, because I found this on wikipedia:
"many modern gearboxes use a 75W90 gear oil, which is actually of equivalent viscosity to a 10W40 motor oil."

Also I heard that this gearbox uses GL-5, so I will buy Liqui Moly 75W90 GL-5. I used Liqui Moly in the engine as well for a year now, and I am pleased with it.

For 309, it's 75W80 for gearbox MA and BE3, not 75W90.
My mechanic put 75W80 for GT.
