diagnostics port on the 309 GT ?
I saw that under the hood there is a diagnostics port, someone told me that this car has a computer and can be diagnosed like a modern car, is this true?
I know that the peugeot dealership can connect to it, but what information can they tell me? are 25+ euro worth it?

Re: diagnostics port on the 309 GT ?
Well, be careful, this is nothing compared to recent cars. It's just a basic diagnostic port which works with a very basic code reader anyone can buy on the net. So it has nothing to do with computer systems. All injection 309s with a catalytic converter are equipped with it I think.

So it's a port with three connectors. What colour is the port?

Re: diagnostics port on the 309 GT ?
Oh okay, it's not a diagnostic connector, it's for the air conditioning.

Re: diagnostics port on the 309 GT ?
i read in the manual that one of it's uses is to adjust the engine timing, could it be that it's all it does?

Re: diagnostics port on the 309 GT ?
To adjust the engine timing, generally you put the instrument directly all around the electrical wires

Re: diagnostics port on the 309 GT ?
I don't know. All the mecanics who did it on my 309s never use this connector

Re: diagnostics port on the 309 GT ?
All 309s have it, whether they have A/C or not because it was much easier to manufacture it like that. When they don't have A/C the connector has two wires connected to each other.amilo123 a écrit :but it doesn't have AC...
