This is an Peugeot 309 xs,in a bad shape obviously but im trying to get it up and running at least,after numerous attacks from different members of family that i give it away in junkyard where they would turn it into a cube,i stand my ground and is still here

Ill need help from you guys to try to repair this pug,i dont understand much in engine

It seems to be a gti engine.1,6 L. or 1,9L i can't say

it has ,under the hood ,little yellow sticker on which are some data in french and german.
it says that is 1905cc injection.
motor familie DFZ-86.
on the car is designation XS.

i have searched trough the wikipedia but there is only xs as an 1.6 engine,but i manage to find xs 1.9 so it exists.
Now,i have heared that for model 406 peugeot makes different marks,like in england is an SRI model but somewhere else is an SW badge for stronger engines so i was wondering if it is same in 309.
that xs 1.9 is in fact maybe gti or gt.

This is for sure 1.9 injection engine.

It's a 1.9 XU9J1... The same I have!!! Good luck for the job! There's plenty of work to be done, but it will make a future collector!

DFZ: XU9J1, 1905cc with 105 hp, almost like a mk1 XU92C but very different from a mk2 XU92C ou a XU9JA (GTI 130 hp).

first of all i need to reconect the wires,then everything other.

you should see yesterday,i was trying to figure it out which wire goes where while my girl was holding entire wrap of wires,she wasnt very happy,my shields were on maximum expecting attack

Moustik it's a 1.9 but not a 130 hp XU9JA, that's a 1.9 105 hp XU9J1

yea,the 105hp engine is this one
