Re: [Kesslfligga] 309 GTi MK2
Hello there,
three days ago I got my 309 SX to "kill" it for some parts. But the SX is in such good condition that I´m not sure to get it stripped.
So I decided to do some work on the GTi and have some time to think about the SX.
Before I started got get the GTi a "new" front bumper.
After fixing the bumper on the GTi:
Here are some pics of the SX.

Re: [Kesslfligga] 309 GTi MK2
Hi Matthias!
Your GTI looks very nice with its new bumper!! Now, you just need to paint the front grille.
If the SX is in good condition, I agree with you, you shouldn't break it. Maybe it can be useful for some other people, or as a secondary car. These models have benefits the GTI doesn't have (consumption, maintenance costs, etc).

Hi there,
Looks good the new bumper, if SX is in good condition I agree with you that it would be a piity if was broke down. Succes with it.

Re: [Kesslfligga] 309 GTi MK2
So, I found somebody who wants to have the SX and get it fixed to ride it the next time. Its good to know that a good 309 has not to die. But for it means I have to search again for another bumper for my GTi16´s ass.
Had a bit time to start with cleaning and polishing the GTi16´s paint. Its a lot to do , but I think for the 1st round the results are not too bad.

Wow, a very nice collection you've got and those two babies are simply beautiful!!!
Plus I see a 207 and a 307, so it seems you're collecting Peugeots!

Re: [Kesslfligga] 309 GTi MK2
Thanks man. The two look pretty good now, but theres still a lot to do keep it running and looking nice.
The 307 is my mothers car, the orange is my neighbours peugeot. I dont like new peugeots.
The only car I own beside my 309s is an Audi A8.

Re: [Kesslfligga] 309 GTi MK2
Hello there,
after a long time waiting to get fixed in the GTi16´s cockpit, a "new" steering wheel found itself in the GTi.
I like it ( not in best shape but ... ).
And after looking for some parts in garage I found another really nice item for the old Peugeot.

Nice sticker you got there.
Steering wheel is ok,i like the original but this one is good too.
I agree with you that novadays peugeots are getting all round, like yogurts,i like older peugeots.
For me,the last really beautifull peugeot was a peugeot 406,connecting the old box style peugeots with a little bit of
curved lines of modern times.

Re: [Kesslfligga] 309 GTi MK2
Hello there,
so, my 309 GTi16 is back on the road legaly for two weeks now. Took two and a half year from buying it in swiss til getting it fixed and ready for traffic.
Just yesterday I changed the GTi-Bumper into a "standart" one. I like the standartbumper in combi with the rims and lowering.
After changing the bumper:
The GTi 8V is "out of order" , cause it has too much rust and there are many things to do on it. :-(

Re: [Kesslfligga] 309 GTi MK2
Hi Matthias!
Very nice pics!! What's this building by the way?
I really like the look of your 309 even though I prefer the GTI bumper and rims. But I must admit the BBS rims are very nice too and sort of change the look of the whole car. Very very nice car!
So what's up with the 8v then? What are you going to do with it?

Re: [Kesslfligga] 309 GTi MK2
Hi Aurelien,
thanks I really love the rims and I think they really give the 309 a different look, too. I always wanted to put a standart bumper on a 309 GTi just to see how it looks. I really like the look ( but I would prefer a bumper without the lights, just bought the wrong one ).
The 8V .... I think it is not worth to put the Euros in any further. Just have a look on the pictures:
And this is only the "rust-problem". There are a lot things to do on the technical side. The 309 wouldn´t get german TÜV without massiv financial expenses. At the moment it is stored in a dry barn, don´t want to break it this time. And I don´t want to sell it .... you won`t get money for it, but infuturetime you will need some parts.
I bought a 405 a few weeks ago to replace the 8V.
It´s a real nice car, although it is no 309.
